Rules on MySpace

Question : Can I get banned from MySpace by doing X in my profile?

Answer : The things I’m aware of is that you can’t hide the top ad banner and that you should have a BLOCK button in your profile. I’m not sure if you can move the ad banner, but moving it to the bottom of the page would equal to removing it? And of course, you can’t have stuff in your profile that have copyrights (sound or image or text). Be sure, before using pictures, mp3s and other content that you read the license with it.

Customizing your profile

Question : How can I customize my profile?

Answer : There is a LOT of way that you can do that. First, the easiest way is by using MySpace profile editor. It’s easy to use but limited. You can also use “Codes” to hide stuff, change the appearance of some sections on your profile, etc… You can find a list of codes here. You can also install custom layouts into your profile. If you don’t know how, I wrote a tutorial on how to install codes (or layouts) into your MySpace profile.

Question : How do you color or change the appearance of your private profile view?

Answer : The only way to do that right now is to use the extraordinary cool (sarcasm) editor provided by MySpace, you can’t do that by using codes.

Misc

Question : Is there a way to see who looks at your profile ?

Answer : There is some ways, but first it doesn’t work well at all and second, it’s annoying most of the time.
